I just came across this website today. It’s a website created by Edwin Kaukali of the Big Island. There are some pictures of old sodas and also an interesting history of the Owl Drug Company from Hilo.
A resource for those who share in Hawaii bottle collecting

Unfortunately the site owner Edwin passed away so did Frank, the only person still alive in the picture is ChooChoo the one in the middle…
It’s great to see someone starting a new website for Hawaii bottle diggers! I live on the mainland now (in California), but I still fly back to Hawaii every year to dig. I’ll keep an eye on this site and let you know if I find anything good on my next trip.
Aloha!
Mahalo Sodetraveler. Thanks for visiting and keep us posted on your future digs. Aloha
Aloha. My name is JoAnne and i have been digging and casually collecting since the 1970s. Is there ever a show or collectors getting together on the Big Island? I am needing to downsize and would like to pass on my bottles or sell some for a bargin resonable price. I don’t think i have anything rare, mostly medicine bottles, some soda bottles. Any suggestions? Mahalo
My name is Tom Frazier and I live in Waianae, Oahu, but used to live on the Big Island. I only entered the organised hobby here in 2006, though I knew about the club in the ’90s. I would be interested in buying some of your stuff if we could talk or write. I’ll leave my address if possible. I’m not computer savvy, so here goes: Tom Frazier. , 85-576B1 Hoopuhi st. #A, Waianae, Hi. 96792. Drop a line &# and we can try this. I can maybe connect t you with other collectors here in the Bottle Club. We’re sorta suspended pending the current bug that’s going around. Here goes….
